Free Texas Hold'Em Lessons for All

This article shall teach you how to improve your poker skills without having to risk your money. First, gather several players to play a free Texas Hold'Em game with you. The role of dealer shall pass from one free Texas Hold'Em player to another, just as how it is stated in the rules. To make this free Texas Hold'Em game realistic and achieve its goals, all of you must treat it seriously. Understood?

Then, let's begin.

First, all players must make the necessary buy-in. Since this is a free Texas Hold'Em game, we're assuming that chips are given to each player without money exchanging hands.

Talk among yourselves if you will allow new free Texas Hold'Em players to join your table mid-game.

The player assigned to be the dealer shall now start distributing cards. The free Texas Hold'Em player to his or her left will of course post the small blind and the player to his left will naturally have the responsibility of posting the big blind.

If you're not the dealer or any of the players to post the blind in this round, you naturally have the right to surrender your cards if you wish to.

To Fold or Not to Fold - This early in the game, players who do not have 'special' tasks must immediately calculate the odds of their hole cards and judge for themselves whether they wish to continue or simply wait for the next free Texas Hold'Em round to begin.

Positioning is all that matters in free Texas Hold'Em so if you're occupying one of the last seats at the table, perhaps you shouldn't fold just yet - since you're one of the last players to make a move, you can now make decisions that are more accurate than those made by the other players. This is because you have more information in your hands. So wait just a little bit more¡¦

The Flop - Most free Texas Hold'Em players hope that by the time the flop is shown, they'll be able to know what hand they should be playing. When the flop is revealed and a player still finds himself holding a dismal poker hand, he usually just gives up entirely.

It's up to you however if you wish to move on or surrender.

The Turn - If you still have bad cards, maybe you should wait for the next game to start. But if you're good at bluffing, by all means, move on to the next round!

The River - It's all or nothing. Good luck!
